A Statement from UPPCC

January 27, 2022

On behalf of UPPCC and its Board of Directors, we are sending this message in response to the recent public announcements made by NASPO and NIGP. As you may know, UPPCC’s Board of Directors voted to remove NIGP appointed representatives from further participation on the Board of Directors. This decision was made with careful consideration, and we believe it to be in the best interest of UPPCC and its certification holders.

While UPPCC works with NASPO and NIGP to resolve the issues that led to this action, we want to assure you that UPPCC remains committed to the current and future quality of your CPPO and CPPB certifications. The certifications you hold still stand as the gold standard in public procurement certification, and that will not change. Your credentials are secure and are still valued assets for our profession.

As always, UPPCC is committed to achieving the highest standards, which is why we are constantly updating and improving our certifications to address new issues and challenges.
