The UPPCC Board of Examiners (BOE) oversees the development and ongoing administration of the CPPO and CPPB examinations. The BOE is a group of appointed volunteer Subject Matter Experts who have the primary responsibility for developing and maintaining the certification examinations together with psychometric experts to ensure their integrity, validity, accuracy, and relevancy. The members of the BOE are also responsible for providing expertise in the evaluation of matters relating to certification, recertification, and revocation.

The BOE is comprised of two sub-committees, the CPPO Team and the CPPB Team. It is led by co-chairs who serve as both members of the BOE and as Chairs of the BOE. The CPPO Team is responsible for test development activities relating only to the CPPO program while the CPPB Team is responsible for test development activities relating only to the CPPB program. CPPO Team members must at minimum be currently certified as a CPPO and CPPB Team members must at minimum be currently certified as a CPPB.
UPPCC Board of Examiners members serve three-year terms and may serve a maximum of 3 consecutive terms. All nominations are evaluated and approved by the UPPCC Board of Directors.
