UPPCC Launches Online Application for Recertification

Herndon, VA – January 14, 2019 - The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) is pleased to announce that the new online application for recertification is now available.

Public procurement professionals who are credentialed by the organization as CPPOs and CPPBs are required to recertify every five (5) years to maintain their credentialed status. The recertification process consists of documenting one’s ongoing professional development and contribution activities in the field of public procurement.

More User-Friendly

UPPCC has taken the paper-based process of the past and completely transformed it into a modern, user-friendly process that is now completely paperless and accessible to any certificant through their own personalized MyUPPCC account.

Certificants will appreciate the significant benefits this convenient online application process provides, which includes the ability to:

  • log all continuing education and professional development activities as they are completed,
  • upload documentation for logged activities directly to the application,
  • track progress towards meeting recertification requirements,
  • view certification status and recertification dates (expiration dates),
  • apply for recertification and make payment,
  • And much more!

Convenient and Organized for Busy Professionals

“UPPCC has made the tracking of my professional development activities so much easier with the new online recertification application. I can conveniently organize and log my achievements in MyUPPCC as I complete them rather than scrambling to pull them together at the last minute. I can even upload my supporting documentation directly to my application. Once I’m ready to recertify, everything is all set to be submitted.” – Kathleen Muretti, CPPO, CPPB, Chair of the UPPCC Board

Whether your recertification is due next week, next month or 3 years from now, UPPCC encourages all certificants to give the new online application a try. You can open a new application for recertification by logging into your account and clicking on the “My Application for Recertification” tab from the MyUPPCC dashboard. UPPCC is now accepting recertification submissions via the MyUPPCC portal, but will continue to accept paper application through February 28, 2019.

The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) is an independent entity formed to govern and administer the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification programs. The CPPO and CPPB programs are highly regarded and respected among procurement professionals and employers involved in the public sector. To date, the UPPCC has certified well over 10,000 professionals primarily within the US and Canada as well as in other nations around the globe.
