Board of Examiners

The UPPCC Board of Examiners are the gatekeepers for the examinations. The members of the BOE collectively provide subject matter expertise in the development of content for the examinations. The members of the BOE are also responsible for providing similar expertise in the evaluation of matters relating to certification, recertification and revocation.

The BOE is comprised of 20 total members split into two sub-committees, the CPPO Team and the CPPB Team led by a single Chair of the full BOE. The Chair serves a dual role on the BOE as both a member of the BOE and as Chair of the BOE. The CPPO Team is responsible for test development activities relating only to the CPPO program while the CPPB Team is responsible for test development activities relating only to the CPPB program. CPPO Team members must at minimum be currently certified as a CPPO and CPPB Team members must at minimum be currently certified as a CPPB.

Each sub-committee is composed of 10 members; 2 members each nominated by NIGP and NASPO. Additional sub-committee members include one nominated member from each of the following collegial organizations; California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO), Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials (FAPPO), National Association for Educational Procurement (NAEP), and National Procurement Institute (NPI). Two additional members are nominated by the Canadian Public Procurement Council (CPPC). All nominations are evaluated and approved by the UPPCC Board of Directors.

UPPCC Board of Examiner (BOE) members serve three-year terms and can serve a maximum of 3 consecutive terms. If you are currently UPPCC certified and want to review the service qualifications, please review the following documents for an in-depth description of this rewarding volunteer role and its responsiblities:
